Our second stay at this great caravan park. It’s in a perfect spot right on the river close to everything Noosa has to offer. We had a double slab with plenty of room to park in front of van. Amenities were clean and plentiful. My only negative comments, which management should address are:
1. Ghost sites: People have come to this camp for 20+ years and can rebook as first priority. The number of prime sites at this sought after property with nobody present for weeks on end is disgraceful and unfair. They pay but don’t stay. Our neighbour went to Europe for a month and left his van there.
2. Regulars with two cars, two boats plus their accommodation on their site overcrowds the place.
3. Kids hooning around the walkways and around amenities at speed on their bikes and scooters is dangerous and very disruptive.
Otherwise it’s great if you can get a booking.
We have been camping at Noosa River Holiday Park for 7 or 8 years now and I have never experienced a rude staff member until today. Disappointingly when we checked out today Saturday 16th December she was so rude in the way she spoke and her manner. I will be calling on Monday to speak to the manager.
I give five stars to Mother Nature, we all know how wonderful the spot is. How stunning the view is from the camp kitchen, how easy it is to walk to Main Street Noosa etc.
Sadly, under the new management the bathrooms are filthy, at this busy time they should be clean twice in a 24hr period as they have been in years gone by. Cubicles with no toilet paper and no soap in the dispensers. The laundry had 2 if not 3 of the washing machines out of order over our 2 week stay.
The camp kitchen was thick of a slimy oily film on the bench tops and the smell from the fridge in the heat was disgusting.
Sadly people and families will return to this stunning spot because they have been coming for generations but the staff and management need to lift their game.
Disgusting customer service received this evening 30/11/2023 from a small fair haired female employee. Before approaching reception I noticed multiple spaces free in the camp. I had been ringing since 5pm trying to make a booking for the night to which all my calls went unanswered. My first encounter with the woman was rude, with her telling me abruptly that they were closed (at 5:55pm) and full for the night. Which was just a blatant lie. She tried to explain the empty spaces to which she made zero sense, and then told me “you’ll have to try somewhere else tonight” .
I was unimpressed by this and then asked for her name, which she refused to give me. Not a good experience with the camp at all, and will be looking forward to hearing from management as to why my calls were not answered and why I received such hostility from their member of staff.
What a magical spot! We camped in the tent only area and think it was a the best spot! Really great amenities and waterfront views. Kids had a blast on the fishing ski and stand up paddle board. We’ll definitely be back again
The location of the park is wonderful. It’s right by the water and is a great location for water sports. It’s also an easy walk into Noosa. This was the best part about the park.
Unfortunately, the camp kitchen space was pretty yucky and the fridge was gross. Despite letting the staff know promptly, still nothing was done over the time we stayed to clean the fridge. We found our bag of food in a dirty puddle of water at the bottom of the fridge. It sounded like a build up of water in the fridge was a known issue so maybe some notices on the fridges would have been helpful letting campers know and also to make sure people shut the doors properly. We didn't find much in the way of notices and resources to help campers keep the communal areas tidy. Unfortunately, the camp kitchen tables, cooking top/BBQ and worktops always had food scraps and sticky stuff on them.
If you are self-contained and don’t need to access the camp kitchen at all, then this is would probably be a good place to stay.
Away from the hubbub of Hastings St. but close enough for a 30 minute walk. Farmers market too. Right on the river with great sunsets and fishing. Clean and ample amenities. Book ahead!!
Fantastic caravan park! The sites are very generous, the location perfect and the amenities excellent. We had a lovely few days soaking up all Noosa has to offer.
Absolutely amazing location. We stayed on a riverside tent location. Overall good facilities and location. However, it was a very disappointing attitude from one staff member from Spain. I wanted to ensure that I was doing everything right by confirming prior to arrival of requirement for my camp site. Another staff member even came out to confirm my set-up and location. The following day, this staff came out and rudely told us that our tent was too far over and my set-up was not approved for the site. I tried to explain the information I was given and staff approval on arrival, but she would not have it. She would not let me finish explaining and rudely talked over me. Very disappointing and disgusting behavior. Staff requires training in customer service.
